Beautiful 1949 Steinway Upright piano. 74 years old and sounds great! The tuning pins were pretty tight, which means it will hold the tune for quite a while. This piano had not been tuned for 6-10 years according to the owner and it was not way off. A bit flat, but not terribly flat.
Most Steinway's are black, but this was a beautiful mahogany piano. Owner told me it was special ordered by her Grandma brand new. She lived in Michigan and the grandkids were not allowed to touch the piano until they got older. At a certain age, they could use one finger.
Piano has been well cared for and continues to sing! A joy to tune.
