Hey Jim...do you know of any pianos that are looking for a new home?

Well as a matter of fact I do! I have customers contact me on occasion about selling their piano...or in some cases giving it away for free. Right now I have a customer with a beautiful Howard baby grand that is available for a price. Owner bought the piano for his daughter that was a concert pianist, but she has moved away and does not have room for a baby grand. Owner has two baby grands in her living room and would like to sell the Howard. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you more details and show you the piano at your convenience.

I also have a few customers with uprights and spinets looking to move them to a new home. New owner would need to pay to move the piano and tune it. A great place to look for pianos is on Facebook Marketplace, they have a lot of pianos for sale and for free. But, you need to be careful as many of them are not in great shape.

Missouri Piano Tuning & Repair does supply a Piano Evaluation service. We will go look at a piano you are interested in purchasing and let you know if it has any issues. Kind of like having a mechanic look at a used car before you buy. We look for major problems like a cracked sound board, broken action parts, sticky keys, loose tuning pins and how tunable it is. If a piano has not been tuned in 10 plus years, it is usually so far out of tune that it will take a pitch raise and a couple full tunings before it will hold the tune. Our goal is to find you a piano that you will enjoy playing, but won't cost a small fortune with repair and maintenance issues.

Contact Missouri Piano Tuning & Repair for all your piano tuning and piano repair issues in the Columbia and St. Louis, Missouri area.
