Having the right tools makes every job easier. Bought a new carbon fiber piano hammer. A very expensive piano hammer, but it proved itself on its maiden voyage. Gives me more precise control adjusting pins...millimeters of play can make a difference to get a perfect A4 440.0 tune.
Had the chance to try it out on a 1996 Yamaha baby grand for a client yesterday. Dialed it in to exactly 440.0 and speeds up the tuning process. This piano is going to be played by St. Louis Symphony pianist at an upcoming event, so I really wanted it to be perfect.
Thanks to Steve Fujan at Fujanproducts.com for making an awesome tuning hammer!
